IN THIS LESSON
Matthew 5:16
Take a deep breath and ask God what he would say to you. What does he want you to hear? Take note of any word, phrase, feeling or image that pops out or “shimmers” for you as you listen to the meditation.
Some fruits don’t draw attention.
But they carry weight.
Over time, they shape who we are.
They shape what others learn to trust in us.
[Pause]
Goodness is a way of being
that leans toward what heals and restores.
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about choosing what helps life flourish—
in you, and around you.
[Pause]
Faithfulness is the fruit of trust—
a life rooted in quiet faith.
It shows up.
It stays present.
It honors the long road.
[Pause]
Together, these fruits form the quiet core of character.
They whisper:
I will keep showing up.
I will keep choosing good.
[Pause]
Is there a place in your life
where goodness is asking for a gentle return?
Or a promise you’ve made—
to someone, to God, to yourself—
that still waits for your care?
[Pause]
Let them take root in you today.
Goodness.
Faithfulness.
