Compelled

God’s movement draws us into transformation; we are moved, not striving.

This is grace in motion. Something shifts. We feel nudged, drawn, invited. We act because the Spirit is moving, not because we are chasing or forcing results.

Mark 2:10b – 12a

Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, 11 “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!”

12 And the man jumped up, grabbed his mat, and walked out through the stunned onlookers.

Jesus returns his gaze to the man

He sees everything

Judges nothing

Love fills the space between them.

The man feels the shift.

Something within has changed.

He can’t explain but his faith is

Compelled.

His faith bursts forth

Fire shut up in bones erupts.

Past doubts eviscerated.

Sins are forgiven

The miracle reinforced.

The heart is healed

The body soon follows

Legs stand.

Legs walk.

The brokenness challenged

By a spirit that has been

Compelled to see the ONE Miracle

To be compelled is to see

Past the body's smokescreen,

Past internal paralysis,

Past the temporary circumstances,

Past the would haves, should haves, could haves,

Past dreams deferred,

Past powers that be,

Past the barrier between

Love and beloved.

  • What quiet movement within you feels like a nudge toward new life?

  • Where do you sense transformation beginning without striving?

  • What inner paralysis or hesitation feels like it is starting to loosen?

  • How does your artistic community support your trust in the movements drawing you forward?
